Great week, Miracles, ZOO

Well this week was great!! We have seen miracles! We found a family, they felt lost and want to find the truth!! I love it!! They really want to learn more and the wife is going to come to church on Sunday. She said she is just confused in life and want to find her path. When we told him that he needs to pray and he will receive his answer and he said he thinks he knows what it will be!! We also had the opportunity to go the ZOO and we fed the Giraffes, that was fun! My companion and I definitely enjoyed our time!! We all need to share the gospel and let everyone know about it!! The church is TRUE!! As we come to know who we our we will come to know that we need to share the gospel and let everyone else feel the joy that we have in our lives!!

Guatemala is GREAT

Guatemala is great!! I love it here! I am so thankful that I can be serving here! What a blessing it is for me to do be able to do! I loved conference so much! We really all need to think about what we learned from conference and put it into practice!! The talks they gave were what we need to hear at this time in our lives and we need to be able to share it with our friends! This week was good with teaching. Right now we are teaching our bishops brother and the bishop said to us, I don't know what you Hermana's have done, but you did something because they never let the missionaries in that house! It's been a great experience and he totally wants to change as well, which I love so much!! I just want so many people to teach right now that just have that desire to learn!! Share your testimonies!!! Even when you feel tired just know that you can keep going with the help of the Lord by your side. He loves you and I love you all. I know that Christ lives and loves us and we need to show him our love back!!! I LOVE YOU ALL!!!

Know that the Lord is proud of you all and that HE LOVES YOU!!!

Well life here in Guatemala is great!! Still going strong!! The work of the Lord is the best and greatest decision anyone can make! There are miracles that await each and everyone of us! We need to be open and listening to the spirit and he will guide us. If he isn't guiding us to the people we need to talk to, he is guiding us to where we need to be in life. Sometimes we don't realize the people the Lord puts in our paths, but we know we just need to keep trusting and talking to the people! I am so excited for General Conference this weekend and I hope you all are too because its this time that we receive revelation for ourselves and for the people around us! We are here to learn and to grow. but we can't do that without acting! I love the work!! Keep your heads up and know that the Lord is proud of you all and that HE LOVES YOU!!!

Share the Gospel

Well this week has been good and interesting, we just have to take each day one day at a time.  The Lord will help us do it. I love the missionary life and the nursing life even though sometimes they are so crazy!! that is what I have really learned that you just have to have the faith and know that the Lord has a plan for each of us! Two cool experiences. I had the opportunity to go to a sealing for a convert and what a great experience that was for me to be able to go there and witness it! I loved it so much. Then the sister training leaders called me and said that when I was in there area that I contacted a girl that was crying in the park and when I was talking to her she felt that God was telling her that the church was true. They have been teaching her and that is what she told them. I thought that was really cool!! We never know the impact that we have on people and so we need to share the gospel with everyone!!

Remember Every Member is a MISSIONARY

This week was good! We had a family be BAPTIZED!! That was soo AMAZING!! I absolutely loved it. I have been able to see their change from the beginning and that was a blessing for me to see them have that desire. They are soo happy now. She said that she doesn’t want to stop reading the scriptures because its like a story. She is pilas!! (which is awesome!) I love them so much! We also got to have a conference with Elder Andersen from the 12 Apostles and that was absolutely wonderful!! I loved it! He really stressed how much we need to focus on understanding the Atonement! He was so great and shook all of our hands. I also was able to see people from my district in the MTC who I haven’t seen in 14 months and that was great! What an amazing thing it is to see the people that you haven’t seen in so long and the change they have had. I love the gospel so much! I am so thankful to be able to be serving here and remember that every member is a missionary so we need to all share the gospel with people. We don’t know who will be touched by your example and by the influence that you have had on them!

Baptism, Marriage Woohoo Happy Day.

We love miracles!! We had a marriage on Saturday and it was the best thing in the world!! During the week though they were kind of debating on if they wanted to do it or not. We had a lesson with them and I talked about fasting and then after the lesson I told my companion that I wasn’t joking about fasting and she agreed! Well the next day we fasted and then the day after that my companion went and visited them with another sister because we had divisions and they decided to do it and they DID IT!! Today we are going to have their baptisms and I am so excited. I know they are going to do it. He is a little iffy, but he can do it!! I know that the power of fasting is real and can change lives. That was a really confirming evidence that fasting works for me. I love it and she is soo ready. She said yesterday before we taught them I don't know if he asked, but I know I am doing it. I love it soo much!! They make me just want to work and find all of those people who are ready to change and have the gospel in their lives. I can't imagine my life without these people.. I also love the temple so much!! it is such a great place where we can find peace and next week I get to go to a sealing of my convert!! YAY!!

Witnessing Miracles

We have seen miracles and I believe in them!! The members are so important in the work. I really can testify of it now. We have a family that we have been teaching for a while now and I was like if they aren't going to decide to get married soon than we have to leave them. Well this week we visited them and there was like a light bulb that turned on in his head and he has seen a change too. Then the Bishop and a counselor went and visited them and they challenged them to think of a date to get married and they said they would pray for it and let them know in church. Well during our baptism that we had, the counselor comes in and he said Hermana's I have something urgent for you. The family is going to get married on Saturday at 3 and she is going to get baptized Sunday and he is going to pray about it. YAY!! I asked them if they are going to get baptized after and she said I AM!! haha I Loved it so much! I love seeing this happen!! Nursing is good, always an adventure that is for sure! I love it though!!

Love the Gospel, Love the People, Love Serving

I am doing good here. Things have been kind of crazy this week, but good. I have been doing nursing things and teaching. It's a really good opportunity to learn how to manage and multi task and try and keep it all together the things for nursing and the things for missionary work, but I love it. I am thankful for it. I love the gospel so much. We had a good zone conference and during that one I got a call on the phone and had to run out of the conference, that was a little awkward, but the missionary really needed me. I am thankful for the opportunity that I have to serve the missionaries. My companion just tags a long too which she is great and she knows that I have to do it! I am thankful for the people I am teaching they are great!! I love them all so much and I know there are more out there who are waiting for us to teach them!

Another busy nursing week. Teaching and Preaching.

Things here are going good. This week was a nursing week again kind of. We randomly had to go to the doctors office this past week with an elder, but it was good. I really do enjoy helping them and I can't imagine sometimes them doing it on their own. I just feel better when I am there. We had a little bit of a difficulty trying to find new investigators this week, but we did it! We had five at the end of Saturday and by Sunday night we had 14, we found 9 on Sunday and that was great. Yesterday we taught this young man and his cousin and he has gone to church for a year, but like two years ago and never was baptized.  He was asking where the church started and it was like well this is our message that we have for you!! It was great!! I know the Lord is helping us. Sometimes we don't realize what he wants us to learn from things, but I know that as we put our trust in him, that he will guide us and direct us on what we need to be doing!!

The Lord will lead you to where you need to go.

Things here in the mission are going good. Everyday is a new adventure and something cool that I learned last night is that my convert who got baptized in January said that within days of us going to her house that she was praying for some people to be sent to her and she said and then the missionaries came and knocked on my door. It was amazing!! It didn't hit to me until last night when she had said it again!! I love it thought! It really is testimony that we are led where we need to go!

Baptism, Enjoying the mission

This week was a little calmer than last week. We had a miracle baptism though!!! We have been visiting this grandma who is 88 years old, she was a different religion.  Her daughter she has been a member for 19 years and has always wanted her mom to get baptized. Well with her health she ended up moving in with her daughter and we started to visit her. She has come to church and was loving it. She went to a baptism on Saturday morning and she said that when the little girl got baptized she wanted to get baptized too right then. I thought that was really cool. She said she cried!! Well we went and taught her Saturday night and we challenged her to be baptized that next day! She accepted and we had to teach her pretty much everything!! She is so happy and she can really feel the Holy Ghost. She said that yesterday has been one of the best days she has had with her health. She has definitely felt a difference and I LOVE IT!!! She is so happy as well. I have also learned that we really need to enjoy every minute of the mission because the time goes by so fast!! I love the gospel sooo much and I am so thankful that I have the opportunity to teach these people and to also be the nurse. Even with the crazy sudden moments of nursing I enjoy it!! My companion and I also will be finishing the Book of Mormon before changes!!! It has been a really great experience reading it with her. We really have watched the time and with nursing we get off track, but we catch up and we have always had the positive attitude that we are going to finish it!!

Hospital Visit, Baptism

I am in the hospital, I received a phone call at like 3:00 in the morning.  When I was talking to her I just felt like we needed to go in. The nice thing is that she lives in my colony, so the assistants came and picked my comp and I up and took us to their house and then she came with me. We got here about 5:00, have been here ever since.  We'll be here tomorrow as well. It really is a blessing to be able to be a missionary and a nurse. I love being able to help in both areas. The doc came in today and he said to me do you need anything and then he looked at another doc who is also my friend and he said to her about me she is the best assistant :) I thought it was nice.

We had a baptism!! That was awesome! I love baptisms and she was happy. There wasn't any water in the colony, but the church has a spare tank!!! :) the church never fails!

First Aid Kits
Antigua - P Day

PDay in Antigua, Baptism, Reading the Book of Mormon in Spanish

Well this week was fun! We had the opportunity to go to Antigua which was entertaining and fun!! My companion and I had a good time. Then we went to lunch and the place we happened to go to was with all of the elders, just us and the elders.  We also have been teaching this lady that listened to this missionaries about two years ago and now she wants to be baptized!! YAY!! I am soo excited and she just talked to us last night.  It really seemed like it was something that she needed to get out and she accepted to be baptized!! We also have been doing quite of few things for nursing. We went to the hospital yesterday and that was great!! It really is great to be able to help the missionaries. We also have been making 96 first aid kits that the missionaries will have in their house if there is a Sunday or if in the middle of the night, they need something they can have it.  MY COMPANION AND I HAVE ALSO MADE IT HALF WAY THRU THE BOOK OF MORMON!!!! YAY!! We are soo happy! We have quite a ways to go, but we are going to finish it before the end of the change!! It is a great experience. We are doing it in Spanish too, so its even more fun!!  We really are understanding more though than reading it in English!! I love the gospel!!!

Surprise Birthday

Well things here in Guatemala are going good!! We had a good week!! We had good lessons and we found some new investigators to teach and they are great! We also had 10 investigators again attend church with us. Some are different from last week!! I love it! We can see a change here in our area. My companion and I are definitely enjoying our time together so that makes everything better!! I love her soo much!! Yesterday was really great for my birthday! There is a family in the ward who we always go and have lunch with. My companion secretly told them that it was my birthday so what they did was decorate their house with balloons and then when we walked in they let fireworks go off (there is a special type of firework they use when its your birthday) and then they had a birthday song playing. It was soo great! I love them soo much! You don't realize the impact that people have to you!! I can't imagine my life without them! They really are like my parents here in Guatemala and that is what they said to us! I LOVE THE WORK!!!! We need to make the good out of everything!!!!

Blessing of revelation.

This week was a little crazy. So I asked for a blessing of comfort just because it had been a little crazy.  Well he said that I would receive the revelation that I needed in my personal study tomorrow.  I most certainly did receive revelation.  My companion and I have spent at least like 10 hours doing nursing things. We redid cards, we made some commandments that they have to do. It's just really going to help me and the mission presidents wife and the mission in all. It was crazy. We went to the leadership counsel to talk about it. Its been fun though. We had a good Sunday of investigators as well. We had two families come to church and that is always amazing!! I remember my bishop in my other ward said there are families waiting for you where you need to go and now I am teaching families!! Its wonderful!! I love the gospel so much!!
We had a meeting as a stake on Sunday for the goals for the year. I had people come up to me from the other wards where I have served and some of them had said its a miracle to be able to see you again! I thought that was really nice of them and they just kept coming up to me. It really makes one feel good when you get that kind of love from the people. One of them said that they wanted to come visit me for Christmas, but didn't know if I was still here. I thought that was really sweet!!
